About the Event
**YOU MUST REGISTER BY FRIDAY MAY 5 TO BE ABLE TO VOLUNTEER
RSVP-ING "Yes" does not guarantee registration, it just tells VolunTeens that you are interested in this opportunity and plan to attend. Please register via the info provided below.Â
What: Approximately 300 volunteers are needed per night. So far, the rodeo is in good shape, except for Concessions, where they need some 60 people each night. Volunteering with the rodeo gives VolunTeens' the chance to knock off up to six service hours in one night and up to eighteen hours over three nights. The shifts are 4 pm (arrive as close to 4 as possible, but no later than 5) to 10 pm. They will have volunteer shirts until they run out and food vouchers. The pace will often be quick paced; tasks are designed to be repetitive and easily learned. The doors to the Rodeo officially open at 5:30 each night and the performances will end by 10. Concessions traffic tends to fall off after Intermission. Rodeo attendees tend toward families and are almost always well mannered. David Haas, the rodeo's volunteer coordinator, could likely also use a handful of volunteers each night for other areas (for example Parking, Prep Kitchen), and five Sunday morning (8:30 to noon), to work alongside my fellow Rotarians and breakdown the VIP staging (to volunteer for a specific job asked by David, please email him at fhaas48102@aol.com).
